The Fraserburgh Lodge of Freemasons #1055

The First Fifty Years

FOREWORD

Some three years ago it was decided to bring the History of this Lodge up to date and to have readily accessible a detailed account of the birth and growth of the Lodge to the status it has at present attained. The publication of this history was designed to coincide with and to form part of the commemoration activities of the Jubilee Year of the Lodge.

The Lodge was indeed fortunate to have Brother Robert S. Sim, for no person could have been found more eminently suited for the task of gathering together the facts and telling the story of how The Fraserburgh Lodge of Freemasons No. 1055 came into being and how it grew from strength to strength during the "FIRST FIFTY YEARS". The Lodge is deeply indebted to Brother Sim for the immense amount of work which has gone into this publication.
